Your Very Own Private Salmon Fishing in Alaska
At Phantom Tri-River Charters, we fish a variety of different salmon types, including Sockeye, Silvers, Chums, Kings, and Pinks, as well as a number of other fish variations, which include rainbow trout, Dolly Varden, arctic grayling and more. We provide all of the freshwater gear and thorough instruction you need to get your line in the water, making it easy to enjoy your trip while reaping the benefits of a bountiful habitat.
Peak timing for Salmon:
- Chinook (King Salmon): Early June – July 13th
- Sockeye (Red), Pink (Humpies), Chum (Dog): Mid July – First week of August
- Coho (Silver): August 1st – Sept 10th
Peak timing for Rainbow Trout, Grayling, and Dolly Varden:
- Spring- May 15th-July 10th
- Fall- August 18-End of October or ice on.

✔ Dress in layers – We advise wearing 2 pairs of socks, a light pair and a thicker pair
✔ Polarized Sunglasses – The glare on the water can be intense
✔ Fishing license and king stamp (if fishing until July 13th) these can be purchased online here or in our office.
✔ Snacks & drinks – A small cooler or backpack can be brought on the vessel. Bottled water is available on every boat. Beer & wine is ok, however for safety reasons no hard liquor is allowed.
